Grab A Plate Attendee Agreement
Grab A Plate is a social food event where guests bring homemade food to share with other attendees. Because food is prepared by individuals in their own homes, there are some food safety and allergen considerations that everyone attending needs to understand.
Food safety
All food brought to Grab A Plate should be prepared, stored and transported safely, following the food safety guidance provided by Grab A Plate.
However, Grab A Plate cannot independently verify how every dish has been prepared, stored or transported before it arrives at the event.
Allergies and dietary requirements
Food served at Grab A Plate may contain allergens and there may be a risk of cross-contamination.
We will provide information about the ingredients and allergens in dishes where this information has been provided to us. However, we cannot guarantee that any dish, or the event environment as a whole, is completely free from a particular allergen or from cross-contamination.
If you have a food allergy or dietary requirement, you are responsible for reviewing the available information and asking questions about a dish before eating it. If you are unsure whether something is suitable for you, please do not eat it.
If you have a severe or life-threatening food allergy, please be aware that Grab A Plate cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
If you are unwell
Please do not attend Grab A Plate if you are unwell, particularly if you have vomiting, diarrhoea or another illness that could present a risk to other guests or the food being served.
